Parker Stockstill Construction chosen as the NC811 Safe Digging Partner

Greensboro, NC (January 18, 2022) Parker Stockstill Construction of Elm City, NC has been chosen as the NC811 Safe Digging Partner for December 2021 due to its ongoing commitment to safety, damage prevention and spreading the “Call Before You Dig” message.

Many safe digging partners have made the commitment to call 811 prior to any excavation, but few go above and beyond with making safety and damage prevention their #1 priority. Parker Stockstill Construction has shown their commitment to keeping their community and employees safe. They participate in the monthly local Utility Coordinating Committee meetings that share vital information about projects that affect utility infrastructure, they have placed safe digging partner stickers on their vehicles and utilize best practices while digging around utilities. “This is truly the type of Safe Digging Partner NC811 is looking for: The commitment to keeping the community safe while excavating and promoting the Call 811 before You Dig message service to their employees and community,” said NC811’s Executive Director, Louis Panzer.

Louis Panzer, Executive Director with NC811 acknowledged Parker Stockstill with a Safe Digging Partner award at an event hosted by Piedmont Natural Gas celebrating the successful completion of a natural gas main installation project through Onslow County.  “On behalf of Parker Stockstill Construction, I would like to say thank you to NC811 for the Safe Digging Partner recognition”, stated Kevin Laughren, Vice President of Finance and Operations. The Parker Stockstill Construction team achieved an unprecedented level of quality and safe work by installing 110,000 feet of 8-inch natural gas pipeline in Onslow County with “ZERO” utility strikes.” Laughren went on to say, “this project is an amazing real-life example of SAFE DIGGING. I am told this is likely the largest flawlessly installed underground utility project in the State of NC. Thanks to all the Locators in Onslow County who are working hard to keep the public utilities operating and the community safe.”

Every nine minutes an underground utility line is damaged because someone decided to dig without calling 811 first. Find out more about becoming a Safe Digging Partner.
